SUMMER????

We are getting excited for summer! It's almost here. Pool fun, snow cones, friends, sleepovers! I think we all love summer. My most memorable summer was the summer I decided to follow God with EVERYTHING I did. Best decision. Hardest decision because it meant that I had to stop doing some "things" that I knew was wrong. Was it easy? NO. Did I cry a lot? YES. Did I question my faith? YES.(in a good way) Sometimes following God means letting go. Letting go of the past and moving forward with a new freedom. Freedom to live for God. Trust me, it's not boring. You can still live for God daily and have a blast.

Alice in Wonderland Review

I went on a date with my wife Friday night and saw the new version of Alice in Wonderland. Actually, it wasn't a newer version but a sequel to the original. The plot is genius and executed fantastically. It is simple, Alison stumbles back into wonderland around 13 years after her original trip and doesn't remember a single thing. The character then try to remind her of her past adventures with them and guide her to her future purpose. If you are expecting happy, cheery, bright, joyous songs of a Very Unhappy Birthday, and cuteness you will not find it here. This film is dark, interesting, and witty with an eery flair to it. I would not say this film is for small children at all, but a great watch overall. As I watched I noticed spiritual implications all over the place. The big theme I saw, I won't tell all I saw because I would like to hear what you see in it, is that we all have a purpose and no one can fulfill our purpose that God has for us except us. God has a plan for each of us and he has given us the abilities to do what He wants us to do. It is all about finding out who you are. With that said, who are you? Do you know your purpose? What are you passionate about? I will leave you with those questions!

Work in progress

When I look back over my life anything that was worth while took time! My grades, which when I didn't put the time in it was obvious, sports, my marriage, and my parenting skills. The same is true for creating an impactful, interesting, and life changing student ministry. It's going to take time. Even the goal that Jesus came to this Earth for took 33 years! With that being said, it is going to take some time to see ultimate life change! we are taking Baby Steps, just like in "What About Bob?", to make these things happen! Please be praying for our students and students pray for other students that lives would be impacted! If you have any thoughts or ideas please comment here or go to www.my3c.org and visit the student section!

Fresh Start

Why is it we associate lemons with freshness? Have you ever eaten a lemon, they are not that good really, my little girl loves to eat them, but they really don't taste good. If you were to squeeze a lemon into a cut on your arm you would feel a burning sensation that causes pain....but it is fresh and it cleans. God is all about freshness! Sometimes it hurts and it burns to start fresh, but it is well worth it! It is that time for us, as a student ministry now. Even in my own life I feel there has been a new start and I am super excited to see what is going to happen! When I look in the Bible I see all sorts of people who God gave a fresh start to...maybe it is time for a fresh start in your life. Choose today to start anew and make your life what you want it to be! remember it may hurt or burn a little, but when you look back on it you will be so glad you did it!
